From Farm to Product - Beyond Farming

For about two years, we have been collaborating with Gut&Bösel, a family-run farm located an hour east of Berlin. Across 3,000 hectares, the dedicated team at this agricultural, forestry, and research operation explores and develops various methods of regenerative, multifunctional agriculture. From holistic pasture management, composting, and agroforestry systems to forest conversion, the development of their own tree nursery, and innovative software and technology, their commitment knows no bounds.

The overarching goal of this work is to understand how large-scale agriculture can be transformed in the future and how healthy and resilient ecosystems can be built through sustainable utilization.

A central element of this vision is the rearing of pasture-fed cattle, which contribute to soil regeneration and the promotion of biodiversity. However, the appreciation for the animals does not end in the pasture. Every few weeks, one of the pasture-fed cattle is humanely culled directly in the pasture – without stress, with great respect and calm. Subsequently, the animal is entrusted to a bio-certified rural slaughterhouse.

The hides of the animals are preserved. On behalf of Gut&Bösel, we have these processed into beautiful natural leather and high-quality products. From credit card cases and belts to the Ninja Colt – each piece tells the story of a sustainable cycle based on respect for people, animals, and nature.

In a world increasingly facing the challenges of climate change and environmental protection, Gut&Bösel's work serves as an excellent example of how, through innovative agriculture, we can not only meet our demand for high-quality products but also protect our environment and preserve it for future generations.
